Analyzing microorganisms through membrane filtration, multiple tube fermentation, and various other tests focusing on coliform forming bacterium found in aqueous, sediment, and sludge environments. Through Standard Operating Procedures based on EPA and Standard Methods, I make the required media. Following these guidelines I have passed all proficiency tests and blind samples. I also analyze samples for pH, specific conductance and salinity, total hardness and alkalinity by titration, total phosphorus and ortho-phosphate by SEAL AQ2e, analyze inorganic anions through ion chromatography using the program Chromeleon, and mercury in water, solid and semi-solid waste by cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry. All data is entered into either Microsoft Excel Macros and/or a LIMS database, which has allowed me to become more familiarized with data-based operations.
