The NRC Aerospace Admin Group went through an alignment reorganization a few years ago and I now hold the position of admin to three Program Leaders and their Project Managers. I'm still working with some researchers that I used to when supporting the Structures & Materials section, but now I'm getting to know other researchers in different sections. Organization is key in this position. Multi-tasking and being able to provide guidance and assistance, without "power", to engineers are important.In June 2014 I was recognized by our GM for my 30 years of service at NRC. A milestone in this day and age of layoffs and career changes.I've been very active in the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) over the last few years, holding various positions within the old structure of the organization. I'm currently the Branch Director for Eastern Canada.If you don't like something in life - change it.If you can't change it - change the way you think about it.
