Leading the Integrated Communications division and reporting directly to the CEO/Executive Director, I manage a staff of approximately 40 in Communications, Marketing, Creative & Publishing departments.This division encompasses everything from the JAAD (Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology) peer-reviewed publication -- as well as more than a half-dozen other member publications -- to the daily public and advocacy communications activities the Academy sponsors. Our team coordinates all integrated communications for members, key stakeholders and members with an eye toward key revenue opportunities and key messages that reinforce public education and positioning of the specialty, promoting leadership in dermatology and excellence in patient care through education, research and advocacy.The American Academy of Dermatology (Academy), founded in 1938, is the largest, most influential, and most representative of all dermatologic associations. Ran launch campaigns for several large pharmaceutical clients, managed a group of PR professionals and established a working relationship with Wharton School of Healthcare Business and Fleishman-Hillard.
