In Potencia, I fulfill the role of an English Tutor, where my primary responsibility is to guide learners in mastering the English language. This involves organizing and facilitating both virtual and in-person sessions to deliver comprehensive English instruction. I maintain regular communication with my learners, ensuring that their needs are met and their progress is tracked effectively. Additionally, I develop tailored lesson plans on a weekly basis to optimize the learning experience and achieve desired outcomes.

As Co-Founder and community organizer for Rhizome, I assist in the process of recruiting fellows for our Organizing Fellowship for high school students in Miami-Dade County. My responsibilities extend to guiding fellows through various civic engagement initiatives and fostering a culture of inclusivity, nonviolence, and nonpartisanship. I help lead meetings for fellows to exercise their organizing, communicating, and managing skills to prepare fellows for Rhizome's seasonal civic actions like prepping voter registration presentations, visiting K-5 centers to teach democracy, and more.

The Meraki Story stands as a creative collective dedicated to amplifying the intersectional contributions of women, femmes, and nonbinary creators through expressive mediums like soulful prose, artwork, photography, and beyond. In my role as Director of Outreach, I took on the tasks of forging connections with organizations and fellow creative collectives for collaborative ventures and partnerships. Previously, I held the position of head of the Public Relations Team, overseeing extensive social media marketing efforts across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook. Additionally, I ensured that each member of my team remained aligned with their designated responsibilities, fostering a cohesive and productive environment.

I played a crucial role in crafting educational content in both English and Spanish, targeting young audiences to deepen their understanding of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Together with my team, we actively engaged in raising awareness about significant current global events in Latin America, such as the #SOSCuba movement and the earthquake in Haiti. Leveraging social media platforms and political advocacy, we aimed to amplify our impact and effect positive change through education and campaigning.

When We All Vote is a non-profit and nonpartisan organization that seeks to change the culture around voting. We aimed to increase voter turnout in every election in order to close the race and age voting gap. As a student volunteer, I collaborated closely with organizers and peers to cultivate student-led teams, fostering connections with similar groups across districts, states, and the nation at large. My role involved facilitating weekly Zoom meetings to facilitate brainstorming sessions, track progress, and foster meaningful connections among team members. Additionally, I played an active role in delivering voter education and registration presentations, both within my high school and throughout schools across Miami-Dade County. These efforts were integral to expanding our mission and empowering eligible voters to engage in the democratic process.
