The Law Foundation provides free legal services to over 14,000 clients per year, including all of the foster children in Santa Clara county. I have served as Audit Committee Chair since 2015, and previously served as Board Chair, Board Secretary and as a member of the Executive Committee, Development Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.

Adaptive Insights is a recognized leader in cloud corporate perormance management (CPM), providing easy, powerful, and fast software to thousands of customers worldwide. As General Counsel and Secretary to the Board and its Committees, I led the legal efforts in our IPO process and public company preparations, culminating in our public S-1 filing in May 2018 and roadshow launch in June 2018. During our roadshow, we announced our acquisition by Workday in a transaction valued at $1.55 billion (14x revenues), which closed in August 2018. As General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, my responsibilities included Board governance, public company readiness, SEC filings, M&A, commercial agreements, privacy, employment law, intellectual property, litigation and global compliance and ethics issues.

I served as Deputy General Counsel at Workday, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, during a period of extraordinary growth and industry transformation. I initially joined the company to focus on Workday's highly successful IPO and transition to a public company, and to build and lead the corporate legal function. My areas of responsibility included Board governance, mergers & acquisitions, SEC filings and corporate finance, working closely with the finance, IR, corporate development, HR and communications teams. I also served as Secretary to the Audit, Compensation, Investment and Nominating & Governance Committees of the Board, as Assistant Secretary to the Board, as a director of various subsidiaries worldwide, and as a member of the Disclosure and 401(k) committees. In addition, I managed the employment legal group, as well as various department initiatives.

While at HP, I held a variety of strategic roles, most recently as the managing attorney for the $20B Enterprise Servers and Storage Group. I was also the managing attorney of the corporate legal group, responsible for SEC reporting, corporate finance, corporate governance and executive compensation, and held key roles in the contested acquisition of Compaq Computer Corporation and the divestiture of Verifone, Inc. I also served as Secretary to the Compensation Committee of the Board.

As a corporate associate at Skadden, Arps, my primary practice areas were corporate finance (debt and equity) and mergers and acquisitions. I spent two years in the Paris office, working on a variety of cross-border transactions, including IPOs and private company acquisitions.
