Reporting to Group Executive - Engineering & Systems, Head of function responsible for leading the development of strategic planning priorities and delivery approach for ARTC's ongoing management of safeworking rules, operation interface standards, drawings and configuration management. Managing a team of specialists and associated staff, in the development, maintenance and implementation of national network and operations standards and processes.

Responsible for delivering wells within the Penola Trough and Otway Nearshore Project, working with engineering and cross functional teams to deliver subsurface project objectives.Key Achievements:~Engineering and delivery of the longest land well, a 7.2km extended reach well, drilled from onshore to offshore in the Victorian Otway Basin, for delivery of gas to the Otway Gas Plant. ~Project management and engineering of Haselgrove 4DW1 appraisal project for delivery of additional gas in the Katnook Processing Plant. ~Development of regulatory documentation and ongoing engagement during approvals process. ~Support of technical scopes and working closely with Contracts and Procurement team on new service contracts.

Responsible for design, engineering and operational planning within wells team. Support of ongoing rig operations and mentoring of drilling engineering team. Provide additional support to production and HSE team in areas of technical and integrity assurance. Key Achievements:~Project management, engineering and operational management of Haselgrove 3 exploration well in a complex community environment, as part of a government grant project.~Seconded to Production and HSE department to conduct process safety start-up review and development of process safety bow-tie for the Middleton compression project in the Cooper Basin.~Development and technical writing of fit-for-purpose management systems, well integrity systems and well control procedures.

Shared engineering resource between the international team and assurance team. Key Achievements:~Provide technical and project management peer review for offshore and onshore projects and prepare gate review reports.~Review and supervision of non-operated international well activities.~Due diligence for potential international acquisition opportunities, including data room review and writing of detailed reports including economics. ~Provided technical support for updates to management system and technical standards. Developed training material and held roll-out sessions to all stakeholders.

Responsible for multi-discipline engineering team executing high profile unconventional drilling and completion projects. Key Achievements:~Projects included high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) wells in the Nappamerri Trough. Worked closely with unconventional asset team, field personnel and contractors to ensure goals and timeline were met to meet corporate goals. Reported to relevant stakeholders on project progress.~Assigned lead for group of multi-discipline field and office based team leaders, in order to deliver optimised unconventional project plan to achieve revised business unit goals.

Responsible for the delivery of conventional drilling projects in the Cooper Basin.Key Achievements:~Responsible for design and operational management of first dedicated Shale gas well in the Moomba field, including first deep wireline coring operation in Australia.~Delivery of first onshore pad directional wells utilising skidable rigs, working closely with other disciplines and departments to achieve project outcomes. ~Conducted design on Nappimerri Trough HPHT gas wells.

Responsible for design, planning and implementation of wells in the Cooper Basin, Australia.Key Achievements:~Support start-up of 3 new drilling rigs and move to directional pad wells.~Mentoring of drilling engineers in Landmark software.

Based in the Senergy Australia office in Perth, role including project planning and execution management, development of feasibility studies for geothermal and petroleum projects for clients in the Asia Pacific region. Key Achievements:~Geodynamics Ltd – project engineer for developing new technology for geothermal drilling project. Provided well engineering support of intervention operations. ~Central Petroleum – provided multi-phase fluid modelling and technical support for joint venture technical committee meeting.~AGEG – review of potential implementation of advanced drilling techniques and oil and gas technology to the Australian geothermal industry.~Santos Ltd – review completion strategy and perform modelling for running completion string on Big Lake Pad wells. ~Conducted training in Introduction of CTD/UBD and MPD.

Well engineering consultancy specialising in advanced drilling techniques for designing drilling solutions to release further value from mature hydrocarbon fields. LEA ltd was purchased by Senergy in 2008.Seconded to various oil and gas operators to deliver advanced drilling techniques projects. Key Achievements:~Todd Energy – review applicability of advanced drilling techniques for onshore Mangahewa field to avoid formation damage related issues. Presented report and findings to client in their New Zealand office.~Shell Todd Oilfield Services (STOS) – review application of advanced drilling techniques for the offshore New Zealand Maui B platform. Conduct feasibility work and review rig upgrade requirements.~Seconded to Santos Ltd with responsibility for the introduction and implementation of two coiled tubing underbalanced drilling campaigns in the Cooper Basin from 2003 – 2007. ~Conduct technical specification for underbalanced separator and travelled to Calgary and Edmonton to conduct technical and HSE prequalification. ~Author and presenter of SPE Paper 121632 presented at Formation Damage Conference, Holland, May 2009.~Seconded to Shell Expro UK as part of Gannet coiled tubing/managed pressure drilling team during project feasibility stage. Dynamic annular pressure control was applied for the first time in the UK Central North Sea.~Talisman Energy – Core team member of Buchan Alpha UBD-CTD project. Multi-well campaign from a floating production vessel with no drilling infrastruction and utilising the production facilities to de-volatised crude for the drilling fluids. Provided site supervision as Night Drilling Supervisor and office based drilling engineer.

Year-out placement prior to completing honours year, in Brent well engineering team.Key Achievements:~Operations support engineer for Brent Alpha drilling operations. Conducted casing leak/integrity investigation for BA-05 well.~Creation of Brent Well Engineering Approval and Reporting Process document.~Assistant offshore well engineer (AOWE) on Brent Charlie platform during SIMOPS for main drilling operations and stand-alone coiled tubing drilling operations.
