I collaborated with product designers, product managers, researchers, developers, and accessibility specialists to create empowering experiences for K-12 teachers. Through classroom visits, research, and journey mapping I developed empathy. Then in a collaborative process I: - delivered useful content via clear and concise copy,- advocated for content placement (hierarchy & architecture) and format,- set up content testing and incorporate test results and researcher recommendations,- and finally, refined copy adjusting for voice and tone and established text patterns (style guide).

That way I can also influence design and ensure that user communication and overall user experience is as frictionless as possible.COPYWRITINGWhen releasing a mobile app, there are many other elements involved that need to maintain a similar voice and style and are necessary for a smooth UX. I write copy and create content strategy for communication channels like email and notifications, the App Store, Blogs, social media, and scripts for Youtube tutorials. I create communication and content strategy to make sure that users are interested in who you are and what you do. EMAIL MARKETING | CRMResponsible for the company's email marketing and CRM strategy, I led a project to revise our email marketing strategy. We moved from the distribution of product-focused content to more lifestyle-focused content, and we began tracking email performance through open and click rates. Under the new strategy we were able to achieve an open rate of over 20%. CONTENT STRATEGY Utilizing keyword research, performing some of my own, and monitoring trends, I generated SEO and product relevant topics for the company blog. I also worked with my team to make sure we had a consistent voice across channels. CONTENT CREATION Once I established a topic, I performed research to find supporting articles and relevant images to create appealing, multimedia content. We then added relevant meta titles and descriptions using the target keywords in order to increase SEO performance. COPYWRITING | MICROCOPY | TRANSLATIONI managed the voice of the brand by collaborating with a freelance copywriter and writing some of the content myself. Often working directly with our in-house UX team, I also optimised the microcopy in the app. For German and French translations, I managed our third party translation teams.

ADVERTISING and MARKETING Working with a team of creatives, I established client needs, set deliverables and ensured the timely and accurate delivery of creative for brochures, ads, video tutorials, landing pages, newsletters, trade show booths and other advertising and marketing collateral. TRANSLATIONI managed third party translation teams to deliver copy in French, German and Italian for virtually the entire product i.e. the mobile and web app as well as all consumer-facing communication.MANAGING CLIENT RELATIONSWorking on-site with the customer on a daily basis, I was able to establish trust and improve communication. This was occasionally a challenge, as the client was located in Germany and most of my team in the USA. Cultural and communicational differences proved to be a challenge that I was able to effectively bridge with my knowledge of both cultures.TRACKING and DELIVERYManaged multiple projects at once, taking them from the briefing stage right through to project completion, working with a team to meet the project deadlines and produce results that suited the clients needs.
