Dr David Tran is a locally trained General Paediatrician who has a keen interest in looking after the health and well being of children of all ages. He graduated from Melbourne University with an MBBS and BMedSci degree. He has done research in the field of gene therapy focusing on Muscular Dystrophy, and more recently on Childhood Immunisations with publication and presentations on the adverse events following the Influenza Vaccine. Dr Tran did his Paediatric training through the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He has had extensive experience in Neonatal Medicine, General Paediatrics and Adolescent Health. Dr Tran has been granted a Fellowship in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.Dr Tran has particular interests in:* Neonatal and Perinatal medicine * Newborn Growth & Development* Paediatric Emergency* Childhood Immunisations* Asthma and Allergy* Childhood developmental and behaviourOutside of Paediatrics, David is married and part of a large extended Vietnamese family. He has dedicated much of his spare time to developing a local youth group community and in teaching First Aid to youth leaders in the Richmond community. Dr Tran has a public appointment at The Northern Hospital as the Associate Clinical Program Director of Paediatrics. He is also part of the Royal Children's Hospital Allergy department m, attending a weekly outpatient clinic.
