From sports marketing sponsorship work in Beijing and Vancouver for the Olympic Games, to stakeholder speaking engagements in Canada, to high-profile product launches at Fashion Week in New York City, to orchestrating a new Guinness World Record, Bradford bridged her desire to experience new adventures with her passion for building relationships with key influencers in the events industry. Prior to spending seven colorful years as a consultant, Bradford cut her teeth with internationally renowned public relations and advertising firms, Golin and Cramer-Krasselt. It was with these two agencies that a desire for event marketing was born, as it provided an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish core business objectives. As a consultant, Bradford frequently returned to celebrated organizations Golin, Weber Shandwick, Edelman, MSLGroup, the Chicago History Museum, and the University of Chicago, to provide strategic insights and project management. Bradford reentered the traditional workplace at the University of Chicago as a member of the institution’s Office of University Events and Ceremonies team. Within this role, Bradford oversaw complex strategic event initiatives, as well as the vision for communications and programmatic collateral, including print and digital. In 2019, Bradford accepted a role with the Academy at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the educational arm of the nonprofit physical rehabilitation hospital. Ranked number one by U.S. News & World Report for 32 consecutive years, the Academy offers accredited continuing education programs for a range of clinicians with the common goal of improving patient outcomes through clinical excellence.
