Head of the Operations Center for SJRI, charged with Civil Works Construction of Large-Scale Utility Solar PV Farms, Bio-Mass & other renewable energy projects and Operations.Provide technical advice and inputs on civil, drainage, road, structural, geotechnical and other engineering issues for Solar PV Projects.

Assist the Project Team Leader and the Resident Engineer in managing the 3 teams in construction supervision, solving technical issues and construction problems in the project.

OIC PM at early stage of project and assistant to the PM. Provided critical inputs on the pre-construction stage of the Project, including, Right of Way concerns, Environmental and Social matters, identified materials quarry sources, part of team that consulted with the stakeholders. Reviewed the cost estimates and suggested a forecasted total cost for the project using preliminary drawings and parameters based on previous projects similar in scope and nature. Examined and confirmed the proposed Project Alignment through survey reports and by walking the line with the goal of determining problems that might arise during implementation and advised the Client on alternative courses of action which to consider. Assisted the Client in the meetings with the DPWH and other agencies concerning the Project. Reviewed the preliminary design and provided feedback to the Client and Designer on design issues, including embankment, pavements bridges and drainage structures and integrated issues and technical concerns regarding Toll Systems and Facilities. Simultaneously supervised six (6) civil works and one (1) toll systems contract packages, & a FOC contractor.

Assisted the Expatriate Project Manager in the supervision of the road rehabilitation project covering 256 kilometers of road from Surigao del Norte to Davao del Norte. Reviewed the project cost estimates for the civil works and the consultancy and evaluates these in comparison with the Minutes of Discussion of the Loan Agreement. Assisted in the preparation of documents to serve as inputs to the DPWH proposal for the extension of the Loan Expiry dates for Phase I and Phase II. As Highway / Pavement Engineer, liaised with the DPWH BOD on the design of the pavement structures in accordance with the Technical Specifications. Provided inputs to Site offices on the rehabilitation and restoration of existing ACO/PCCP Pavements. Laiased with the DPWH Environmental and Social Services Office as well as the EMB-DENR for the oversights on the requirements for environmental clearances of the project. Appointed by the PM to assume the post of OIC Project Manager in the periods of his absence from time to time. Attended and presented the project’s status in meetings such as, the IMAG Regional, DPWH Regional Meetings and the Multipartite Monitoring Team Coordination Meetings representing the Project Manager. Assisted the Project Manager in reviewing planning and forecasting specific project costs. Reviewed the Drawings as to constructability, design and conformance to specifications with respect to each specific project. Drafted and issued correspondences to the Contractor pertaining to safety, quality of work and other contractual aspect of the contract. Supervised the conduct of Inspections through the Site Inspectors, and on Site Inspections. Implemented procedures for the quantity surveying and monitoring through the Quantity Engineers and Site Inspectors. Designed the stone armor revetment for and supervised the Contractor’s works for the River Training Works. Completed the As-Builts and the final quantification for the project.
