It’s as simple as that.” – Richard BransonFor over two decades I’ve been leading organizational health and well-being strategies with employers, starting from the days when a company gym, yoga class, and lunch and learn constituted your “wellness program” to where we are today (thankfully!) in recognizing that there are several key drivers of well-being, not just physical health. As I led well-being and people strategies throughout the pandemic, it became abundantly clear that we must foster purpose, maintain positive social connections for belonging, communicate authentically, and create supportive environments so that every employee has the ability to thrive in their well-being where they spend most of their waking hours. As a nationally recognized well-being executive, I’ve been privileged to lead integrated well-being and people strategies in healthcare and other industries that resulted in being recognized as a best place to work for multiple years and in improved employee engagement, retention, and well-being. I’ve created innovative, award-winning programs that empowered employees to reduce their risk for chronic conditions. And most recently, I led the largest Blue Zones worksite solutions deployment across the United States in Blue Zones history to help employees and their families live better and longer. I’m deeply grateful that every one of these opportunities created a well-being ripple effect from the employee to their family, and then out into their community.
