I work for Calhoun City Schools at Calhoun Elementary School. I co-teach in an inclusion classroom. I serve students with special needs in the general education classroom, specifically in math. I started my career in a self-contained, special education classroom as a paraprofessional. I assisted students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades K-2. I moved to kindergarten to work with students in an inclusion setting as a paraprofessional serving various students. Half-way through my second year at Calhoun Primary, I was hired as a special education teacher in third grade. At the end of that school year, I started an adventure in self-contained as the teacher. I worked with students in grade 3-5 with mild to moderate disabilities. Throughout my career, I have had the joy of working with several students. Teaching is my passion and I would not have chosen any other career.
