My professional background is in water resources management and water supply and sanitation, with a double competency in mapping and remote sensing for natural resources management. I hold a Masters in Water Science, Policy and Management from the University of Oxford (UK) and an advanced Masters in GIS and Remote Sensing for Natural Resources Management from AgroParisTech (France). I have more than 10 years’ experience working in international organisations (the World Bank, OECD), government agencies (ONEMA – the French National Office for Water and Aquatic Environments, Bord Bia - the Irish Food Board), NGOs (Concern Worldwide), water utilities (Southern Water) and private sector consultancies (Skat, Egis Eau). My role in these organizations have ranged from research to project management on a wide range of topics related to water resources management and water supply and sanitation. These include the application of Integrated Urban Water Management, as well as the sustainable management of rural and urban water infrastructure. I have also taken an interest in inclusive water supply and sanitation, and was a gender focal point for the water practice at the World Bank. As a geographer, I am also interested in making linkages between natural resources management and water: I was a project manager for the redesign of the French natural watercourses GIS database (BD Topage). I also have a keen interest in knowledge management and communications, which I developed working for the Secretariat Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN).
