Facilitating and supporting local youth committee, Prime Force, in youth advocacy, project development, building leadership skills, and youth and community consultation and engagement within Wyndham.

- Work collaboratively with stakeholders and staff to plan, implement, facilitate and evaluate acombined-school Student Representative Council within Wyndham City.- Provide ongoing guidance and assistance to the members of the combined-school StudentRepresentative Council, including support for any initiatives that may arise from this group.- Develop strong linkages between the combined-school Student Representative Council andsome of Council’s other youth participation committees.- Work across Council to ensure that all departments are familiar with the Western RegionYouth Charter (to which Wyndham City is a signatory) and that young people are beingincluded in the decision making process wherever possible, particularly in relation to thosedecisions that directly affect them and their communities.- Contribute to the success of Youth Services and the Community Development Directoratethrough active teamwork and effective performance of the responsibilities of the position.

Planned, implemented and evaluated youth-focused and youth-led projects in the Hobsons Bay and Wyndham Community.- Project GirlA 10 week program for at-risk girls in years 7-9 that encouraged positive body image, building confidence, and supporting them in personal growth and development.- Being MenA 10 week program for at-risk boys in years 7-9 that explored topics of anger management, at-risk behaviour and mental health issues, while providing them with positive male role models that they may not otherwise have in their lives.- Learn.Create.ChangeA year-long leadership program run for disadvantaged, disengaged and at-risk young people aged 14-18. The program supported the young people to decide issues affecting them, and to implement youth-led projects around these issues. Young people worked with members of local councils, schools, and local police to implement projects. Projects developed project management, organisational and public speaking skills as well as encouraging community engagement. Projects included: > Anti-bullying workshop "StandUp" run for 100 grade 5 & 6 students > Inter-generational activities - cooking for the Golden Age community, lawn bowls > Leadership camp > Pixel8 photo competition calendar to promote local photo competition for young people
