I am a dedicated professional with extensive experience in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the years, I have held various positions that have allowed me to make a meaningful impact in this field.My journey began as a Direct Support Professional with The Key Training Center, where I provided hands-on assistance and support to individuals, helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life. This role laid the foundation for my deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by those with developmental disabilities.At The Arc of Marion, I advanced to the role of Group Home Manager. In this capacity, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the home, including support plan meetings, managing finances, scheduling and hiring staff, administering medication, and ensuring compliance with APD regulations. My focus was always on creating a safe, nurturing environment where residents could thrive.Currently, I serve as a Workforce Specialist at Goodwill. In this role, I strive to empower young adults and adults with developmental disabilities to gain valuable workforce experience. I conduct career assessments, facilitate job readiness workshops, and connect participants with employment opportunities. My goal is to help them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.Throughout my career, I have been driven by a passion for advocacy and support.
