I am a 23-year sales veteran of the wholesale lending industry mainly focusing on the Non-QM space.• My current role is SVP Sales for Lendz Financial. I am also a former SVP/RVP of several wholesale lenders including Change Wholesale, Angel Oak, Senderra Funding, and Argent Mortgage. • Before I began my management career, I was a wholesale Account Executive. Between 2002-2005 I was the top Account Executive (volume/units closed) in the entire industry funding over 4,600 units in 2005. I have been able to leverage sales techniques and ideas that I used in the past to train others to elevate their sales IQ and ROI.• Since 2005 I have managed and trained many of the top sales teams and AEs in the Non-QM industry, this is something that I am very proud of.• My previous experience as a top sales manager and salesperson in the industry gives me the credibility that salespeople need. Sales professionals know they are being led by someone who has been in the trenches just as they are and are more open to learning new ideas and strategies for growing their business.• As a manager, my focus has always been on building relationships both external and internal. I have been able to help sales professionals focus on several aspects of their job including: • Doing the little things better than their competition. It’s the little things that make all the difference. • Honing their sales skills through continuous training, reading, podcasts, webinars, etc. Very few have AEs have true top-notch sales skills which lead to lost opportunities and wasted energy. • Identify where they are spending time that is not yielding maximum returns. • Be held accountable, we all have a role to play and a job to do.• I am an analytics junkie/pro. I am a big believer that we can use analytics to maximize returns on our people and time. I use analytics to identify areas where we can improve and grow. My use of analytics in the sales space is much different from anyone else's approach in the industry today. The wholesale mortgage space has changed very little in how to approach building a sales team, I feel I can bring fresh perspectives and strategies to yield much better results.
