International And Extradition Unit
During this time, I led a team of detectives tasked with the investigation and risk management of threat posed by dangerous and high profile fugitives residing in the UK whilst being wanted by foreign law enforcement agencies. I dealt with some of the most scrutinised cases within the public domain; these cases, in particular, required extensive and detailed briefing to the MPS most senior leadership teams and Home Office representatives.I have advised, in fine detail, on the preparation of extradition applications to foreign jurisdictions for UK offences; utilising my extensive range of contacts to facilitate exceptional service delivery outcomes. I manage an exceptionally high workload of often serious and complex investigations, consistently demonstrating ability to manage high risk incidents under exceptional pressure. These investigations included the use of specialist techniques to successfully resolve, including covert and overt strategies and appropriate use of technology. I developed protocols for the successful use of social media and open source opportunities to support intelligence gathering. I am a specialist practitioner in intelligence research and assessment and a subject matter expert in extradition. I established and maintained robust and effective working relationships with a range of partners, both nationally and internationally. This supported the gathering of evidence from foreign jurisdictions, working under mutual legal assistance, enabling best use of resources whilst ensuring all legal and ethical standards were consistently met. I developed numerous national policies to support this work including those for the national extradition course, which is currently used by all UK law enforcement agencies, the policy for the introduction of information into the UK national intelligence systems and those for the extradition and movement of prisoners from abroad.

Child Abuse Investigation Command
I led a team across a demanding and challenging area of London in the investigation and supervision of cases of interfamilial child abuse and suspicious deaths. These most serious offences require a sensitive and tenacious approach whilst ensuring exceptionally tight legal timelines are observed. I worked in close partnership with a range of external partners contributing on safeguarding boards, child protection conferences and child death panels. I held responsibility for ensuring the development and training of team members and for guiding officers in this challenging role.

I led a team of specialist investigators focusing on complicated internal investigations, the need for a sensitive and yet tenacious approach was paramount. This allowed me to successfully transfer to detective duties having demonstrated an intelligent and competent eye for detail, enquiry and observation. I worked in a wide range of roles including territorial support a fast response unit focusing on some of the most challenging, dangerous and high pressure situations across London and the UK.
