During my undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona, I have had the pleasure of expanding my curiosity in the legal field, while also developing an interest in policy. During the last year of my undergraduate career, I was a part of the Arizona Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. I had one of my comments published on the journal's website, which focused on the topic of biodiversity along our nation's southern border.Additionally, I was a legislative intern for the Arizona Supreme Court, through their university internship program. Throughout my internship, I tracked various legislation during Arizona's 54th 2nd legislative session. I attended committee hearings and floor sessions, tracked legislation pertaining to the courts, and testified in front of the Arizona Senate Judiciary Committee. Following my graduation, I accepted a position as a legal assistant for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. At the TCEQ, I worked on locating and collecting documents, assisting attorney's in preparation for administrative hearings, and conducting research regarding various sections in Texas Statutes. I am now a first-year student at The University of Texas School of Law, where I am learning first year curriculum and participating in various journals.Through these experiences, I have not only developed a passion for the interpretation of law, but also its creation.
