I published my first nonfiction book titled “Empowering Inclusion - the Tool Teachers Need for ALL Students to Succeed.” It is a guide that teaches teachers how to: build relationships and work with difficult personalities, collaborate, and implement whole group social-emotional lessons (SEL) to meet everyone’s needs. This book is easy-to-read, affordable, visually appealing and includes many personal stories from my own classrooms. These evidence-based SEL strategies are proven to help create a more inclusive environment for any grade, classroom size and location.

I am the coordinator of Gliding Stars, a nonprofit adaptive ice skating program at The Pond. Our mission is to provide individuals with diverse disabilities a chance to be able to ice skate by using adaptive equipment that meets their individual needs. Last year, we had a 12-week program with 32 skaters throughout numerous counties. In addition to our skaters, we have local volunteers that receive community service hours for helping out on and off the ice.This is an unique program and was a huge success last year. We hope once this pandemic settles, we will be able to get back on the ice in 2021!

I am a freelance artist. I have learned different techniques and skills through trial and error. I can do anything from murals to caricatures. Please feel free to check out my artwork or make a personal request.
