Aloha, my name is Melinda Domingo Eder and I am 21 years old. I was born in Kona but raised in Ka'ū. I am currently in my last semester pursuing a degree in Kinesiology (Allied Health track) at University of Hawaii at Hilo, with a passion for promoting physical wellness, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. My ultimate goal is to become an Occupational Therapist, where I can combine my knowledge in kinesiology with my desire to help others achieve independence and improve their quality of life. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained valuable knowledge in various fields of Kinesiology and has aspired me more to support individuals on their path to recovery and overall improved well-being. My experience shadowing an Occupational Therapist for the past few months have allowed me to connect with diverse communities and contribute to their well-being in meaningful ways. Beyond academics, I enjoy staying active through exercise, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. I am always eager to learn, grow, and explore new opportunities to make a positive impact on others’ lives.
