Without passion, nothing happens; without compassion, the wrong things happen - Jan EliassonFrom childhood to blooming adulthood, I have been a ballet dancer. Dance taught me that to achieve greatness you must have; dedication, innovation, compassion, passion and selflessness. Fundamentally, dance is a series of intricate steps mastered, remastered, expanded upon and re-envision until art is formed. To me, work is very similar, however the building blocks are interactions. Every interaction I have is an opportunity to change or motivate, impassion or deter, innovate or maintain, learn or educate myself and/or the individuals I get the opportunity to work with, and for. As a former dancer I found a home in the medical field, as I was already familiar with medical terminology and therapy. My first role in the medical field was in Revenue Cycle Management. This role challenged me and started exploration into the medical field rabbit hole, impassioning me to soak up knowledge like a sponge. Within two years I grew from a Cash Applications Specialist to a Senior Revenue Cycle Management Associate. As a senior specialist, I was empowered to assist management with innovating and implementing departmental changes to be in compliance with regulations, and minimize our departmental error margins by 85%. Most recently, working in Provider Relations has given me the opportunity to grow my knowledge as the liaison for 50+ unique medical accounts nationwide. Together I partner with medical professionals to get people the care they need, when they need it the most. As a Senior Specialist leading team of 5+ members, my team and I successfully contribute to the maintenance of millions dollars of revenue annually. To achieve this I strategize additional growth with my accounts, troubleshoot and envision solutions for areas that have developmental opportunities for our organization, and motivate change and progression company wide.Interactions drive me forward to this day. Through new opportunities I hope to inspire people to see every opportunity as a chance to create their own masterpiece, and to make positive connections, so we can create a better world today.
