The California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative (CMQCC) Associate Director, Maternal Data Center (MDC) leads administrative and compliance activities for the nationally respected Maternal Data Center. CMQCC actively engages with 300-member hospitals, external stakeholder groups across the state, and other Stanford University departments. In addition, CMQCC and its MDC team are responsible for safely stewarding large data sets received from external organizations. CMQCC's Associate Director, MDC, oversees the CMQCC research and data arms, membership administration activities, shepherds IRB and DUAs, contracts/compliance obligations-including HIPAA compliance and MDC data security, and develops data use and sharing policies that apply to external and internal stakeholders. The Associate Director directs CMQCC hospital membership activities, fee-setting, invoicing, and legal processes, working collaboratively with CMQCC leadership and Stanford University departments and serving as CMQCC’s representative with state agencies and other external stakeholder groups. • Lead strategic planning/analysis for complex functions or programs with significant business, regulatory, and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise. May provide development of program or function from concept to implementation. • Manage administration and evaluation of programs or functions. Oversee interpretation, implementation, and compliance with policies/regulations. Recommend actions and/or resolve complex issues that may span organizational boundaries. • Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies. • Develop/manage outreach strategies that include relationship development, communications, and compliance. • Oversee/supervise staff in development and implementation of programs or functions. • Develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting

Use knowledge of national standards regarding perinatal nursing and perinatal safety/QI, along with experience with inpatient obstetrics and project management. Work collaboratively with leadership teams and staff on multiple, competing projects. Write and edit scientific text, education materials for clear and concise communication of concepts, and curriculum development. Coordinate and provide outreach education to varied providers, outpatient/ambulatory staff and hospitals. Collect, report, and analyze outcome data. Develop and maintain program partnerships with hospitals and outpatient clinics. Implement Quality Improvement initiatives and programs.
