I am a proud RT(R)(VI). I am currently living in VA, just outside the Washington D.C. area. I work at Reston Hospital Center HCA in Interventional Radiology. I am a skilled CL, Neurovascular, IR, Vascular, and EP Radiology Technologist. I enjoy assisting in Neurovascular procedures the most! To me the brain is like the ocean. The deepest trenches and all it’s wonders are just now being discovered. Neurovascular Science is a rapidly changing and extremely awesome field! I am so passionate about patient care and assist work at surgeons and doctors to improve the lives of others. Before coming to VA I worked at Alaska Regional Hospital. It’s a HCA facility. I was there for 3 years. It is a multi modality lab, meaning, I assisted in cases in all 5 modalities mentioned prior. I am a hard worker, who loves taking on new challenges. I am a team players and go above and beyond to treat each patient as if they were a member of my own family. I pride myself in earning the respect of my coworkers, management, and physicians by working hard and proving just how passionate I am about my field. I am:ARRT(R)(VI)ACLSBLS STEMI & Stroke ReadyI worked for Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO from 2002 - 2014. Most of those years, I worked closely and assisted Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Neurovascular Interventional Surgeons, and Vascular Surgeons in a Hybrid OR suite to improve the lives of many. I help in AAA, TAG, TAVR, Laser Lead Extraction, Stroke intervention, as well as, many other Vascular procedures. 2014- 2017 I began my own company, Mindy’s Miscellaneous LLC and worked as a clinical rep for Stryker NV. I represented Stryker NV products and aided NV surgeons during Stroke and Embolization cases. I began to miss the hands on experience I had with patients and decided to return to the hospital/clinic setting, while maintaining my business. From 2015-2017, I worked at Cox Hospital in Springfield, MO in Interventional Radiology. During my time at Cox, I learned how to assist with Chemo Embo, and Y-90 cases, as well as traditional IR cases. I am ready for the next, exciting adventure to begin! I am hoping to find a job as great as the ones I have already had!
