As an intern in the projectmanagementteam of Frappant, not a day was the same. I supported in organizing events, could tell my vision on creating new brochures/flyers/websites, was taking care of the planning, answered the phone, received guests and did research. My research contained insights in social media behavior of millennials/young people in generic and in the Achterhoek (the region where I live). These insights were used to advise SmartHub Achterhoek about a social media strategy, to recruit those young people for their job positions in technology.

During my job as CSR my main task was answering the phone. I helped the customers with orders or giving them information about the optometric products. Besides this job I followed some courses that helped me understand the basics of optometry.

In January 2016 I started my first real job as a communication assistent. Smart Achterhoek was a new company by that time, that still needed to grow. Because of that my main task was to create brand awareness. I was the owner of the community Achterhoek Smart Industry and besides that I worked as assistent on a project base. For every project my tasks were to keep in touch with the customers, to develop new promotion materials and to make sure our social media channels were up to date. I also wrote blogs and press releases during this job.

During my internship at RBI a lot of things changed in the organization. I experienced a take-over and a reorganization. My job package consisted of developing promotion material for the sales team. I developed sales sheets, presentations and e-mailings for different magazines. Besides that I did a market research of advertisers and I wrote a communication strategy.

During my internship at Nation Events I earned my event management diploma. In this period I organized the Achterhoek Bazaar (a big market). My responsibilities were to create a good working script, organizing the market stalls, make sure there were different salesmen and coordinating personnel during the event itself. Besides that I wrote a small marketingplan in which I researched the organizational form, marketing goals and wanted strategy.

My very first internship was at the Gemeente Oude IJsselstreek. During this period I learned a lot about the differences in commercial- and government communication. As intern I supported in small tasks like creating presentations, editing text and creating brochures.
