Simcorp started their journey of Agile transformation around 3 years prior to my joining, though the product area I joined was new to agile, I was brought into to coach these teams in Scrum and SAFe. Alongside regular day-to-day coaching, training and support I also developed ART wide training and events such as end of PI inspect and adapts, multi-team refinement, multi-day Programme Increment planning and other training and team building events.Working with a fantastic community of 30 Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches I developed my skills and knowledge in systems thinking, LeSS and Liberating Structures. Following my initial contract of work as a consultant Capgemini offered me a permanent role in agreement with Experis and I then continued working to support the teams delivering HMRC projects to exceptionally high standards. During this period I helped deliver a two-year long digital transformation project working as a Scrum Master for two of the four teams. Through coaching I helped the teams improve their development pipeline and supported the introduction and usage of TDD, BDD and XP practices across the 4 delivery teams. Also during the project we implemented scaled agile techniques to improve cross-team communication and backlog clarity.

Working as a consultant within Capgemini at the HMRC delivery center in Telford, over this period I was the scrum master on 2 projects and to 3 teams. These two deliveries were ministerial commitment projects with incredibly tight deadlines and had to follow GDS standards and assessments.As an active member of the center’s Scrum Master and Leadership Community I contributed to process and agility improvements on Continuous Delivery, Dev-Ops, and center-wide maturity models.

As Scrum Master I supported my team in delivering key websites and web applications for Jaguar Land Rover campaigns, most notably the Jaguar Alive 5 and Alive 6 campaigns as well as the new XE and XF nameplates. The team, included team members from three different companies across mixed locations, became a high performing team within 6 months. I also put in place a sprint ahead design and UX asset workflow removing sprint impediments. After 9 months I was promoted to Lead SM with the remit to train support and mentor the less experienced scrum masters and to align where possible our approaches.

Leading a team of designers and developers to deliver web solutions for a range of online purchase only leisure and business insurance products. My team and I designed and produced accessible and standards compliant web applications using DHTML, AJAX, CSS, XML and XSLT.

Working in the Marketing department I redesigned and then supported the creation of the company’s corporate website including multilingual versions in over 20 languages.

My role within the business side of a leading city technology college included the strategic development and the day to day management of the school website and online curriculum (which was used by over 1200 schools around the country).• Redesigned and developed the school website which was recognised by the Financial Times as a leading technology college website that year (2004).• Updated the entire online curriculum and produced guidelines, templates and learning tools for the production and submission of content.• Trained and supported entire teaching staff in content creation and content management using Adobe Contribute.
