First Clery compliance-focused professional at the University. Instituted changes within first year to include online training of Campus Security Authorities, electronic record keeping and management of all Clery-related records, and University outreach to increase awareness of the institutional obligation of Clery. Developed and coordinated the Department of Public Safety’s efforts to comply with Ohio’s Public Records Law for the first time in its history following the Ohio Supreme Court’s ruling that private institution’s police departments could be treated as a public agency for records purposes.

Responsible for all aspects of programming, support and record keeping for the bar pass efforts at UDSL. From classes, counseling and services provided to 3L students prior to graduation to post-graduation summer bar prep support, the program strives to anticipate the needs of bar takers and exceed their expectations.

Worked with individual students on a weekly basis to help maximize academic performance. Responsibilities included: designing study and practice programs to meet the needs of individual student advisees and assessing student progress and practice to increase exam proficiency and accuracy.

SpouseBUZZ originally launched as a multi-author blog to provide an online venue for military spouses to connect and share. As one of the original authors, Melinda worked within a core group of military spouses dedicated to building a virtual support community.The popularity of the blog led to live events, held at least once per quarter, in venues near to or on military installations. Melinda served as moderator for the signature author panel on The Humorous Side of Military Life.

Responsible for the implementation of a newly designed, five-week, basic course module program. Planned and executed annual and ongoing training for module faculty. Managed module course enrollment of 2500 students per academic year.
