Senior Living Sales and Marketing was never what I dreamed to do as a young person. After having my son at 19, I got my degree in social work/sociology to help others. I learned at a young age what inequity was and how critical the support of a community can be. The non-profit I served saw my talents and abilities could best be used elsewhere and I entered the world of fundraising. There I found a love for communicating, through speaking, writing and design, a compelling case for support and relationship-building. When my parents were both effected by Parkinson’s and dementia, I realized the full impact of being in the “sandwich generation” and my career focus changed to how I could support seniors and their families. I joined Eastmont and raised funds for benevolent care and other projects for nearly 4 years. Again, the organization realized my talents were needed elsewhere and I accepted the Director of Sales role in 2018, moving into Director of Sales and Marketing in 2019.I love that I work with seniors and their families every day to support their plans for the future. I get to use, not only my education and work experience, but personal experience as a daughter who has navigated this journey. I also love the new challenges I face every day as the leader of an amazing team of Senior Living Sales Counselors, marketing and outreach professionals.
