The Nordic Convention on International Affairs (NCIA) is a conference that took place for the first time ever in Lund, Sweden on May 25-26, 2019. The conference gathered a couple of hundred participants from organizations working on International affairs, development and business all over the Nordics. It covered an array of topics from Nordic cooperation in world, security, innovation and many more. The first Convention on International Affairs won the Swedish part of a European Parliament prize, the Karl prize, for youth engagement and its initiative towards greater cooperation in the Nordic region. The goals of the Nordic Convention on International Affairs are to promote attention, dialogue and debate on Nordic cooperation, international issues and the Nordic’s place in the world, as well as create networks and cooperation between Nordic student/youth organizations engaged in international affairs.

Active member of National Board of the Swedish Association of International Affairs (SAIA) and primarily active the International Committee which in charge of holding the annual case competition with the British Embassy in Stockholm, maintaining communication with the international partners of SAIA and embassies whilst actively looking for new partnerships.

Representing the interests of Malmö Association of Foreign Affairs the national board of SAIA.Some key responsibilities include:- Representation and voting on behalf of the local board of Malmö to the national board;- Updating the local board with ongoing information about SAIA´s activities.- Ensuring communication & cooperation between the two boards.

Creating advertisement materials and actively promoting all events organized by the lecture committee on various social media platforms.Additionally in charge of inviting and maintaining communication with guest speakers for events.

Event planning of weekly lectures while also ensuring the overall coordination of the lectures. Key responsibilities included:- Participating in Committee meetings and planning of the semester with other membersof the Committee;- Researching and inviting potential lecturers, and maintaining communication with them with regards to the topics they would discuss- Coordination of the events organized.Some lectures organized include ´Inside North Korea´, ´Nuclear tensions and possible roads to peace´, ´Afghanistan Today´ , ´Conflict between China and Vietnam: TheSouth China Sea´.
