Physical Therapist
As an outpatient physical therapist, I had the opportunity to work in various aspects of care. Pediatrics, orthopedics, neuro, spinal cord injury, amputees, dysphagia, wound care, and multi-trauma. As an amputee myself having been through my own fair share of trauma, I had a 'mother hen' response over the multi traumas, especially the young teens! If they were complicated, I wanted the patient. I developed the amputee policy manual and I initiated the spinal cord injury program. I also started the program to treat dysphagia with electrical stimulation and also worked with other facial issues such as bell's palsy and TMJ dysfunction. I loved being a therapist.
