Melissa is a published author and emerging film and television writer with a passion for creating diverse and inclusive stories for global audiences. She received a Bachelors in Political Science before launching a career focused on social justice and education reform. She worked at Childrens Services in rural Appalachia, taught history to low-income students, and served as an AmeriCorps Volunteer, completing a year-long internship where she raised over $1M to help local immigrant and refugee families start small businesses.
