The aim is not for them to agree or change the other person's opinion, rather to understand the underlying needs they are trying to meet.Our political climate has become increasingly polarised. Ignoring, attacking or blaming people who do not agree with our opinions has become normal. Too quickly we judge those we disagree with as being stupid, insane or evil. We dehumanise them. We believe we won’t be able to solve the major crises we face globally, unless we make a conscious effort to listen to others and understand diverse perspectives, in order to find common ground and a collective way forward. We also believe that these crises are a reflection of our ways of thinking and relating to each other day to day. In other words, to change the world, we need to change ourselves. We want to create spaces where conversations are rich in diverse perspectives, full of curiosity and we all feel safe to share our opinions respectfully. And contribute to a world where empathy is cool and seeking to understand people we disagree with is normal.

EcoME is a centre where Palestinians and Israelis are able to meet and share on common ground. As a project we facilitate opportunities for individuals to hear each other on a human level. Using tools such as Non Violent communication, Dragon Dreaming, Environmental, spiritual and global awareness, we are able to create a safe and held environment. 
For two years I was part of a team who lead, live and manage EcoME centre and community. I now support remotely as well as frequently visit and support on the ground when needed.

Responsible for all operations, logistics and communication with all stakeholders as well as assisting on the production of the conference.
