I obtained my degree in Bioinformatics Engineering from University of Talca in Chile, in March 2013. In August 2010, while an undergraduate student, I received a scholarship from the University of Talca for being the best student of my academic year. Since January 2012, I have been working as a research assistant at the Centre for Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology at Universidad Andrés Bello in Santiago, Chile. My main areas of expertise are homology modeling, molecular dynamics simulation, molecular docking (both protein-protein and protein-ligand), and network theory applied to sequence similarity.At present, I am participating in various scientific projects, the main ones being: structure-function relationship studies of transmembrane channels and enzymes [1], assembly of genomes and transcriptomes, structural and functional assessment of mutations identified in whole-exome sequencing of tumors, bibliometric studies of the level of international collaboration of articles led by Chilean researchers.
