In 2019, focusing on the areas of pregnancy, post-natal and pelvic health, I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health through the University of New South Wales. After this, I was lucky enough to complete training through the Osteopathic Pelvic Health Institute to assess and treat the pelvic floor. I am one of only a small group of Osteopaths in Australia who has completed this training in internal assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor and pelvic health conditions. In 2021 I was selected to be a part of Osteopathy Australia’s Women’s Health Committee focusing on the development and progression of osteopathy in the areas of pregnancy, post-natal care, and pelvic health.In addition, I have recently completed extra training to assist women in their recovery from breast cancer treatment. Using a gentle and conservative approach, I can assist with internal and external scar healing and help manage some of the side effects associated with treatment.I like to take the time to take a step back and assess the whole picture when treating my patients. My goal is to create a safe space for patients to tell their story and help them move better with less pain quickly. I can utilise a firm or gentle approach and enjoy tailoring treatment to suit the individual patient. I appreciate that musculoskeletal health does not exist in isolation and try to incorporate all health and lifestyle considerations into my practise.When not at the clinic, you will find me busy with my daughter, walking down at the beach or watching my beloved Magpies at the football (but don’t hold this against me!)
