I am the Merchandise claims and control associate. I deal with returning all the defective or outdated items, as well as any items that haven't sold that season or other specific length of time. I also process stolen items, and work directly with the Loss Prevention person to help save the company money. If my position were considered a department, it would be the highest grossing dept in the store. I do store to store transfers if another location needs something we have. If the receiving manager is gone, I take over, dealing with vendors, running a truck unloading from a distribution center, making cardboard bales, and anything else needed. I also am trained as a forklift operator.

Brimley Michigan

I am working at Brimley State Park for the summer. I help campers choose suitable campsites, check them in, extend their stays, mow using commercial mowers, weed whip, trim trees, clean bathrooms and buildings, paint picnic tables

I am a cashier, I do sales of everything, including alcohol and other age restricted items. I do money orders and Western Union. I process returns if a customer is unsatisfied, rain checks if we are out of a certain item, stock shelves and straighten.

Being the store manager, I did or was able to do anything. I dealt with ordering products and trying to keep food costs down. I had to deal with unhappy customers, I put up promotional materials and had to keep track of sales and time sensitive material. I kept the store looking nice, calling repair people as needed. I am ServSafe certified, and made sure everything in the store was done according to food safety rules. I worked with the health and subway inspectors, making sure to follow all the rules and make changes as needed. I worked with employees who had college schedules, and trained them. I also trained employees for our other stores in the town. I did my best to improve employees and did write ups and fired people as necessary. I worked to increase sales in the community.
