Oversees the OHS Management of SEQ / NQ / NSWResponsibilitiesEnsure all investigations are carried out comprehensively and in a balanced manner with a view to continual improvement. Develop Training plans that cover the emerging Health and Safety issues and manage the development and implementation of the company wide courses. Maintain OHS registers for all compliance requirements Evaluate incident forms, surveys, audits to establish root causes and together with Supervisors and Managers concerned, formulate a plan of action to correct non-compliant behaviour or conditions Manage employee rehabilitation to ensure that steps are take and to return injured workers to work with suitable duties as soon as possible Collate monthly health and safety performance reports Interacting with the operating divisions of the company to gain first hand knowledge of the issues affecting the operation. Maintain a communication plan that supports the leadership and motivation roles and actively promotes Health and Safety awareness through out the company. Effectively interpreting and communicating compliance requirements to the operating divisions of the company. Continual and effective promotion of the core Health and Safety Policy of the company. Assist line managers develop, update and audit their systems and their operational procedures. To be the focal point for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in standards and approaches to Health and Safety both externally, within multiple sites and internationally. Keeping abreast of national trends, legislation and regulation. Monitoring Health and Safety performance and using the analysis both to report to the Senior Management and to focus the Health and Safety Management to the priority areas. Develop strategies for minimising risk Implement, update and review OH&S Management system across multiple sites Coach managers in risk awareness Report on incident trends
