Melissa Boyd is a Quality Assurance Manager at the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and a Health and Human Services Consultant at Consulting For Human Services (CFHS). She has over 16 years of experience in public policy, funding development, healthcare strategy, and leading-edge behavioral health technology. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.Melissa is passionate about improving the health of people and communities through cause-connected, mission-driven initiatives. She specializes in helping providers break down silos across the continuum of care and expand access to 24/7/365 care through data-driven collaboration. She has partnered with 120 Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) to win over $250 million in SAMHSA grants and operationalize transformation aligned to attestation, accreditation, and certification standards. She has also developed and advocated for human services policies and funding by building bi-partisan and non-partisan relationships with legislative champions, governors’ offices, and agencies in 13 states. She brings life to consultative recommendations working “at the elbow” with growth-minded leaders spanning child and family services, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, primary care, and addiction treatment.
