I have multiple skills and have worked in many areas, I started working in sales when I was 17, general customer service, cash handling, stock room and deliveries. I did that for 6 years then decided I wanted to try something new. I went on to begin an apprenticeship in youth work working with children with behaviour issues. I completed a level 2 in children & young people’s work force that lead me to working within the youth service for 5 years including after school clubs. Unfortunately having been made redundant due to lack of funding I had to change career paths. That’s when I because a domiciliary care assistant which I did for 1 year but due to lack of hours and needing stability I found a better job. That’s when I became a support worker. I took some time out when I had my son and when he turned 2 I realised I missed working a tried my luck in retail and nearly 3 years on I am now a senior sales assistant with plans to work my way up to managment.
