I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from Madonna University in 2016. Upon completion of my degree, my HR internship with Aristeo Construction was converted to a full-time position as an HR Associate. I loved working for a family owned company in a small HR department, but realized that if I wanted to be a part of strategic HR decisions and have a seat at the table, that I would have to go back to school to earn my Master's Degree. I made the tough decision to quit my job and pursue my Master's Degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University. After completing my first year of graduate school, I obtained a summer internship with Marathon Petroleum in Detroit, MI. My internship continued into a part-time HR role as I completed my second year of grad school at MSU, commuting from East Lansing to Detroit every week. After graduation in May 2019, I began full-time employment with Marathon in Detroit, as a Human Resources Business Partner. In 2023 I moved from Marathon Petroleum to Marathon Pipe Line, supporting our Midstream side of the business.
