Highland Kitchen is a quintessential neighborhood bar + restaurant since 2007. Incredibly high-volume restaurant with an iconic brunch serving Southern-style comfort food and tiki-inspired drinks. This is a no-frills, family-oriented restaurant that is highly regarded in the Winter Hill community. Responsible for all beverage ordering, pricing and education. Closely worked with Chef + Bartenders to create intricate daily specials. Updating and processing all purchased inventory including beverage, perishable, and dry goods. Onboarding and interviewing all new employees, scheduling, payroll for FOH/BOH. Closely worked with all staff members during services to streamline timing for wait list, expo in kitchen, and being highly guest facing when present in the dining room.

The Automatic opened in November 2016 and quickly became a lively, casual neighborhood destination. Unique cocktails, globally inspired small + shareable plates, vinyl music, live music, and event space.Initially hired to help restructure systems to reflect better profit margins moved into General Manager position shortly within my consulting role. Payroll oversight and monitoring. Responsible for all daily front-of-house operations including tasting and curating the wine program, staff education and training on service, food + beverage programs. Hiring and onboarding all new employees. Handling maintenance issues that arise. Developing a private events and catering program, organizing public and offsite events. Responsible for overseeing kitchen management with costs, ordering systems, inventory, and highly involved with menu development and testing. Closely managed restaurant social media content and wrote quarterly neighborhood newsletter.
