Melissa is a Managing Partner at Blackhorn Ventures. Blackhorn invests in entrepreneurs who are improving resource efficiency with science and engineering-based market solutions. She is passionate about opportunities to use markets to drive scalable social and environmental impact and believes that together, technology and entrepreneurship have deep potential to transform markets and the way that we do business today. Through her various experiences, Melissa Cheong has helped to build and grow organizational platforms, allowing them to thoughtfully and efficiently deploy capital at scale. She has worked in various finance and investment roles with organizations such as Zoma Capital, Treehouse Investments, Imprint Capital, Plainfield Asset Management, Metzler Bank and Deutsche Bank. As a Managing Director at Imprint Capital, Melissa was a member of the management team and was responsible for overseeing and managing the firm’s direct investment and private credit platforms. In this role she worked with a broad range of family offices, foundations and financial institutions to build out customized mission-aligned social impact investment portfolios.Melissa spends her free time with her family, either outdoors enjoying everything that Colorado has to offer, or traveling and exploring new places and making new connections.
