The MTA was the sole provider of the ISMAA service program for 1st and 2nd year automotive apprentices in South Australia. This mentoring program was designed to support employed apprentices, helping them to overcome barriers and giving them the best chance of obtaining their qualification and increasing future employment and study opportunities. Melissa managed and delivered the implementation of Industry Specialist Mentoring for Australian Apprentices (ISMAA) program for the automotive industry. She identified, drove and managed strategic metropolitan and regional priorities and engagement to support the fulfilment of the ISMAA program. By working with apprentices, Melissa assisted in the retention and completion of training, leading to successful career outcomes, ensuring apprentices remained a valuable asset to automotive businesses in South Australia. This is a government role contracted to the MTA until 31st December 2019Achievements✔ Improved retention outcomes for 1st and 2nd year apprentices from 49% to 75%, achieving a retention rate of 95%. Achieved Mentee KPI’s, program target 492 mentee’s.

MAAP My Future (Mentor/Adviser Apprenticeship Program) was a commonwealth government funded initiative to promote careers in the automotive industry through apprenticeships and traineeships in South Australia. Molloy and Clark Consultancy (MCC) was a business that developed people and was established in 2009 by Sheryl Molloy and Melissa Clark. A provider for the Australian Apprenticeships Access Program delivering pre-employment programs in Aged Care & Business, providing students with the skills, knowledge and self-confidence to enter the workforce and to sustain employment through Traineeships in rural South Australia. MCC also provided training services within the business sector as well as vocational education programs, including accredited training in Certificate III in Business and Call Centre Training as well as non-accredited workshops in Interview Techniques, Employability Skills, Resume Writing, Retail, Hospitality and Job Search Strategies. Client Services Manager – HoldenDecember 2002 – April 2004The role of Client Services Manager – Holden, was responsible for the implementation and recruitment of Production, Trades, Engineering, Apprentices and Clerical staff for Holden. The role initially involved recruiting for Holden’s 3rd shift. This role was also responsible for the management of both the on-site and off-site recruitment office and further developing the business through sales and marketing opportunities.Achievements✔ Melissa's Business Unit placed 1,449 people into employment in 2003, of which 1049 people were placed into employment in a 4.5month period to support the start of the 3rd shift, with a 96% retention rate generating $1.8 million into the Manpower business over a 12-month period.✔ In April 2003, Melissa received an award for “Demonstrated Commitment to Manpower’s Values”. This award was in recognition of showing commitment to learning and growing business by sharing knowledge and resources in relation to the Holden Account.Business Unit Manager (August 2000 – October 2001) The role of Business Unit Manager was responsible for the management and growth of a new business unit “Volume Recruitment Centre” in Adelaide. The unit specialised in volume recruitment (6 – 60 staff) within the Call Centre and Customer Service Industry for both the private and public sector for temporary, permanent and contract positions. Client’s included Centrelink, Australian Taxation Department and the Child Support Agency.Achievements✔ Melissa's Business Unit placed 279 staff into either contract or permanent employment (Jan – Aug 2001), resulting in 97.9% staff placement retention rate.Service Representative (August 1998 – August 2000) The role of Service Representative was based in Manpower’s Salisbury Office and was responsible for the recruitment of industrial, trades and clerical staff on both a temporary and permanent basis.
