As Director of Membership and Events, I am responsible for membership and all major events for the organization. I am the staff liaison for the Membership Committee and the Membership Engagement Committee. I work closely with the chairs to recruit and retain members. I am also responsible for drafting and disseminating regular communications with members via the newsletter, website and social media. In terms of events, I provide leadership, professional expertise, and direction in the planning and execution of high-profile events and meetings. I develop and monitor timelines and deadlines related to all aspects of events, ensuring the information is communicated with staff, contractors and other constituents. I develop and monitor budgets to ensure revenue and expenses are kept within established boundaries.

As Special Events Manager, I directed the planning and execution of special events to include opening nights, cast dinners, open tech rehearsals, and benefit events. I selected and served as primary point for team of vendors and event contributors including performers, photographers, caterers, and transportation services. I created and implemented event marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and to exceed fundraising goals. I was responsible for event budget preparation, on-site coordination, and management of cross-functional teams. I created integrated planning timelines to coordinate pre-event logistics, set-up, transportation, and allocation of resources.
