"And in a moment, he was gone. But it wasn't really a moment."My personal journey with Alzheimer's disease began during a poignant moment in my life when my eldest daughter was a senior in high school. Witnessing the gradual erosion of my father's memories and identity ignited a passion within me to advocate for Alzheimer's awareness and prevention. This experience not only shaped my perspective on healthcare but also fueled my dedication to making a difference and advocating for brain health. With over three decades of experience as a Doctor of Pharmacy, licensed across multiple states, I have devoted my career to advancing patient care and promoting wellness. I firmly believe that prevention is our best defense against Alzheimer's disease.Understanding the critical role of brain health in overall well-being, I am committed to spreading awareness about the importance of proactive measures. By prioritizing simple yet powerful lifestyle changes such as managing blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, physical activity, and prioritizing sleep, we can significantly reduce our risk of developing dementia and other cognitive impairments. As a mother of three young women, I am driven by a profound commitment to understanding the complexities of Alzheimer's disease and overall brain health. With nearly two-thirds of women in America at greater risk of developing dementia, unraveling the 'why's' behind this disease is paramount. Together, we can empower individuals to take charge of their brain health and live fulfilling lives.I am passionate about connecting with like-minded professionals to foster collaborations, share insights, and collectively work towards building awareness and solutions against Alzheimer's disease. Whether you're interested in potential collaborations or simply wish to engage in meaningful discussions, I invite you to connect with me via LinkedIn or email at macuthb@gmail.com.
