In this role I lead a team of four directors and a total team of 11 to support senior management and the executive team in prioritizing company resources aligned with strategic goals. I coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale enterprise programs and projects while overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and project road mapping. I also play an integral role in stewarding program operational strategy, influencing corporate governance, and assisting the extended executive team with strategic decision-making. Some highlights include:  Building a high-performing team from the ground up through targeted recruitment, mentoring, and training and achieved a 90%+ retention rate while promoting three team members.  Redefining and transforming the enterprise project management office (EPMO) into a Business Transformation Office concept and building the framework and infrastructure for how it functions today.  Taking ownership shortly after hire of a $MM+ end-to-end SAP implementation project, the largest investment in company history. Overcoming numerous project risks to lead the ~100-person project team to deliver the project on time, achieving an ambitious go-live date of January 1.  Enabling rapid business expansion by implementing this transformational business process/system and engaging executive leaders on adapting processes to more seamlessly scale operations. Increasing overall on-time/budget project delivery from occasional to 90% by improving project planning, resource allocation, and analysis.

I was promoted to integrate all global clinical operations teams within the $11.9B life science organization and improve technology operations enterprise-wide. I led a team of directors/senior directors and 200+ staff operating clinical trials across five business units. I also oversaw clinical and R&D technology portfolio governance consisting of 42+ clinical technology platforms to track milestones of each clinical trial, including timeline and budget. Some accomplishments include:  Transforming overall technology strategy by introducing through a vision of consolidating five different operating models for conducting clinical trials into one unified and standardized system to increase consistency, accuracy, productivity, and efficiency and reduce redundancy, costs, and compliance risks. Early stage transformation achieved unprecedented scale and generated $10M+ in YoY savings. Overcoming resistance to influence the highest levels of the organization and gaining buy-in from the CEO and other key executives to establish a center of excellence and develop a proof of concept for a new operating model to run clinical trials. Pilot saved $2M in the first year and demonstrated ~50% faster clinical trial start-up and $7K in savings per clinical site and was scaled to accommodate growth from 11 team members to a 200+ global centralized team.  Securing a $10M investment to upgrade an outdated clinical operations business management system and minimize audit risks and compliance issues. Successfully delivering a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) clinical trial management platform implementation for 500+ users to enable a seamless transition to new system and processes. Driving a positive, collaborative-based culture to elevate employee morale, resulting in increased retention and a ~200% boost in productivity.

I was promoted to advance a world-class compliance program across all global regions and business lines, including in emerging Asian, South American, and Middle Eastern markets. I recruited, trained, and led a 24+-member team and managed a $1.5M budget. Some achievements include:  Creating and scaling international compliance strategies to facilitate growth across 60+ countries, strengthen risk management, and enable compliance with evolving anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws and regulations. This resulted in building a high-performing audit team, increasing risk/vulnerability awareness among Board members and executive leadership, and receiving accolades from AdvaMed’s Device and Diagnostics Compliance Group for model audit program with potential for broad application across life science organizations.  Delivering a transformational business management system for 1K+ commercial distributors incorporating governance, tracking, technology support, and business management systems. Launching program in less than 12 months with 100% adoption and accelerating GTM by 11 weeks via process automation, streamlined protocols, and tools to enable regional customization, resulting in a $1M+ cost savings.  Supporting international company growth which exceeded billions in annual sales by spearheading a company-wide initiative to strengthen commercial third-party distribution operations, technology, and talent as deputy chief compliance officer.  Being selected by CEO and executive committee to be honored with the CEO’s Winning Spirit Award for leadership and a platinum Value Improvement Award for delivering $1M+ in savings. Participating in a highly selective advanced leadership academy for 20 of the highest-potential emerging leaders throughout the global workforce.
