I have done musical theater for years, teaching me to learn to be a fully committed team player and to incorporate criticism without taking it personally. I have been competitively riding horses since I was ten which has taught me to set personal goals and follow them even when it's tough as well as to read signals in both horses and people to know when I'm going too far or when we're not going far enough. Working as a waitress and a barista has taught me that it's okay if you have to redo the exact same thing five or six times before it's just right. Working in a call center has taught me to problem solve, ask clarifying questions, and rephrase instructions back to the person I am working with to make sure I understood properly. Working as an Escalation Specialist has taught me that there is always a resolution even if it's not what you would have thought of right away or doesn't directly solve the problem. Working in compliance has taught me how to work for the legal department of an international company, how to read and comprehend legal policy, and how to enforce it with empathy while still being firm about what is required by law.
