Nursing has allowed me to connect and advocate for people during their most vulnerable times while also learning in a science based field. My dedication to compassionate care and meaningful interaction is illustrated by my receival of the daisy award in 2018. Pursuing opportunities to teach and mentor in nursing is a passion I have always dedicated myself to, and I hope to continue this interest in my career.I have over 7 years of step down, emergency department, and intensive care experience, and love fast paced and critical patients. While the majority of my time in nursing has been spent in critical care, I also have a strong interest in psychology and mental health. Because of this I am continuing my education at Duke University and am expected to graduate in 2025 with my PMHNP.When I'm not working I love to read, paint, hike with my dog Walter, rock climb, mountain bike, camp, and white water raft. I bring the passion and dedication I show to my hobbies into the rest of my life and always aspire to open communication, relentless positivity, and a friendly demeanor.
