I have been in the writing and editing field since 1990, working as an editorial assistant, reporter, features writer, copy editor and outdoors writer. I left newspapers in 2008 to pursue freelance writing, editing and design, which I have been doing ever since. I enjoy the flexibility of choosing assignments that work within my life and my interests. Those interests include anything outdoors or nature-focused, adventure travel, sports or health-related, and inspirational. I have worked with sporting organizations, nonprofits, in the healthcare field, and with adventure travel publications. I enjoy seeking new and interesting assignments so that no one workday is like another. While I work with many repeat clients, my primary role is with the Association of National Park Rangers, which I thoroughly enjoy. I also do quite a bit of writing and editing for Providence-St. Joseph in Anchorage, work that reminds me of all the great things happening in our community on behalf of Providence.
