My name is Melissa Drost. I am the Executive Chef/ General Manager for The Cantina in Charlevoix, MI as well as the general manager for Nomi Sushi in Charlevoix. I have 15 years of restaurant experience, working with and managing teams of up to 50 people or more. I work to build restaurant teams where team members believe that working together builds a stronger and healthier work environment for all employees.I have worked in both established restaurants and helped to open others from the ground up. I have written the health department plans for newly opening restaurants as well as worked with established restaurants in developing and implementing HASAP plans. I have worked locally with many venues to present food for event competitions and gathering such as weddings and fund raisers.
