I believe in starting with “Yes” to almost everything (well, not everything). By starting with a simple “Yes,” the process begins of figuring out how to solve a problem, finding the answer a difficult question, or starting a new project with a positive approach. Can I do even do this? Why, Yes! Even if I do not readily know the answer or outcome, it will all be Ok. The answers will come. Yes is the determination to persevere. Yes paves the way for creativity, collaboration, and backing into the solution. Yes allows freedom to pursue goals that you did not know you could accomplish. In my experience, saying “Yes” has delivered surprising outcomes that were both wonderful and unexpected. Who doesn’t like a good surprise? After decades working in the same industry, I am challenging myself and relying on Yes, to guide me to the next phase of my career.
