Melissa Eckert is the Director of Sales Mid-Market for the Global Service Provider Team at World Wide Technology. In this position, her responsibilities include building and leading an account team, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring accurate forecasting. Melissa continues to expand WWT's presence by driving relevance to customers' key business objectives and establishing executive-level relationships with customers and partners (OEMs). She currently leads a team of seven, supporting their professional development and ensuring their success. Throughout her years in the technology industry, she has experienced large amounts of change in her customer base, broadening her scope and responsibilities within GSP. Melissa divides account managers into different territories to maximize coverage and focuses on generating profitable revenue in products and services. Additionally, she actively participates in account planning, networking, and logistics, while also interfacing with OEMs to drive business growth.Throughout her career, Melissa has actively participated in various professional organizations. She has a notable involvement with Women in Cable, where she held the esteemed position of President of the WICT Midwest Chapter. Before her Presidency, Melissa served on the board for three years, taking on the roles of Chair for Tech It Out and Director at Large. In her free time, Melissa loves spending quality time with her family, including her two sons and grandson. She loves traveling to warm destinations, visiting the beach, gardening, and learning more about the art of interior design and real estate. She also loves dogs and hopes to one day operate a dog rescue!
